Made in 48 hours for GMTK Game Jam 2023: "Roles Reversed"

A peaceful day, hunting deer in your forest lodge, but in a sick twist of fate, roles reverse and you experience life from the other side of the barrel. What was a peaceful day out is now a horrifying fight for survival...

Now that you experience your new perspective, you need to rescue a baby deer by infiltrating the lodge and freeing it from the hunter's cage. But watch out, those hunters are lurking in the forest with their sights set on you and their rifles loaded.

Once you've found the baby, retreat into the forest unseen (back to the spawn), but watch out - you and your fellow hunters rigged the forest with traps, so watch your step!

How to Play:

• Aim: Hold down Left Click
• Shoot: Release Left Click
• Move: WASD
• Crouch: LSHIFT
• Sprint: LCTRL (only for deer)
• Escape from traps: SPACE
• Interact with cage: SPACE

Tips:

• Deer will sprint away when they hear noises.
• Hunter's can't see you very well if you're crouching and/or hiding in bushes. Both is best.
• Don't sprint for too long, or you'll become fatigued. Sprinting makes you less stealthy too.
• Your heart pounding is a sign you've been spotted...
• If you hear a rifle click, someone's just taken aim.
